Meet the Chef Eugenio Cannoni

Chef Eugenio’s contemporary culinary approach pays homage to the rich traditions of Northern Italy while boldly infusing them with modern creativity and global influences. By reimagining textures, presentations, and ingredient pairings, Chef Eugenio transcends classic dishes, offering a fresh perspective on time-honored flavors. Rooted in his Piedmontese heritage, Chef Eugenio embraces seasonality, high-quality local ingredients, and cross-cultural experimentation. It is a celebration of tradition redefined—where nostalgia meets creation, inviting diners to experience the essence of Northern Italy through a fresh and inventive lens.

I am thrilled to join The Peninsula Shanghai and lead the culinary team at Sir Elly’s,” says Chef Eugenio. “My passion lies in seamlessly blending local flavors with global influences, and I am excited to bring my vision to the vibrant culinary scene of Shanghai.”
